Acquire/review requirements, attend meetings to confirm scope/scheduling, and manage Applause test cycles

Triage and track issues from functional/payment testing (export to Jira, identify trends) and produce defect/test summaries

4+ years QA experience; manual testing for web and mobile native apps

Full Description
We are looking for a remote mid-level QA Analyst to virtually embed with a prolific client headquartered in SF, CA. They are a ticket marketplace where users buy and sell tickets for sports, concerts, theater, and live events.
The ideal candidate will have very strong client-facing communications skills and solid background in web and mobile apps manual QA testing. This role will primarily involve extensive facilitation & coordination of testing services.
Basic Terms
Role: QA Analyst
Type: Independent Contractor (1099 ONLY)
Pay rate: $40 to $45 USD per hour
Duration: Through Jan 31, 2027; renewal on an annual basis thereafter
Capacity: Up to 40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday local time with capability to work in alignment with either the client's East or West coast based teams. Also, must be able to work weekends when releases are typically dropped.
Location: US-based remote
Start date: Immediately
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Applause Manager on testing strategy and approach
- Coordinate with Client engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Acquire and review test case requirements
- Attend Client meetings to understand scope, requirements, and scheduling
- Manage Applause test cycles and its remote testing community
- Triage issues reported during functional / payment testing, which include exporting to Jira and tracking trends
- Providing defect reports and test summaries as requested by stakeholders
- Other project related activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or relevant work experience
- 4+ years of software QA work experience testing web and mobile native apps
- Must have a personal desktop or laptop to conduct business; access to Client and Applause systems will be provided
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization
- Strong coordination and facilitation skills
- Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects
- Excellent time management skills and be accustomed to working with deadlines
