Full Description
Dyscron is a privacy-first encrypted messaging platform built on zero-knowledge principles and ephemeral communication. We're looking for a detail-oriented QA engineer to own product quality - from manual exploratory testing to automated regression coverage. You'll work closely with the core team to ensure our security guarantees hold across releases, new features ship without regressions, and the user experience meets a high standard. *this is a part time position, total weekly volumes will vary
What you'll do Design, write, and maintain test plans and test cases for core features — messaging flows, encryption handshakes, ephemeral deletion, and auth Build and maintain automated test suites for regression and end-to-end coverage Perform exploratory and security-adjacent testing — focusing on data leakage, message persistence edge cases, and passphrase/zero-knowledge flows Report, triage, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps; verify fixes before release Contribute to release sign-off and maintain a living quality standard for the product
Requirements 5+ years of professional QA / software testing experience 2+ years hands-on with automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar) Solid understanding of web application testing — APIs, authentication flows, real-time/WebSocket communication Experience testing security-sensitive or privacy-focused products is a strong plus Comfortable working independently in an async, early-stage product environment Romanian legal entity (PFA or SRL) for invoicing, or willingness to set one up
