Full Description
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the reliability and performance of SDS2, our structural steel detailing software. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on steel detailing or fabrication experience who wants to apply that knowledge to improve software quality and user outcomes.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for SDS2.
- Develop and expand GUI-based automated test suites using Eggplant.
- Validate new features, bug fixes, and releases against real-world detailing and fabrication workflows.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and UX to define acceptance criteria and improve test coverage.
- Reproduce, document, and prioritize defects with clear, actionable detail.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and release quality.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in structural steel detailing or fabrication (SDS2 experience strongly preferred).
- Solid understanding of detailing workflows, shop drawings, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with software QA practices, including test case design and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with GUI test automation tools (Eggplant preferred, others acceptable).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think through edge cases and real-world usage.
- Comfortable working in an agile, cross-functional team environment.
