What is this challenge about

• · Conduct load, stress, capacity, and stability tests to evaluate application performance under various usage scenarios;
• · Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks, latency issues, and other performance-related problems;
• · Create, automate, and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or other relevant tools;
• · Work closely with developers and infrastructure engineers to identify and resolve performance issues;
• · Recommend and collaborate on continuous improvements to enhance system scalability and stability;
• · Prepare detailed reports on test results, including findings and suggestions for performance improvements;
• · Track application performance in production environments to ensure ongoing compliance with performance requirements.

What we are looking for

• · +4 years of experience as a Performance QA;
• · Advanced level of English (B2/C1);
• · Open to working 1 to 2 times per month at the office in Lisbon;
• · Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or similar;
• · Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Groovy) for test automation;
• · Strong understanding of performance concepts such as response time, throughput, latency, error rates, and bottleneck analysis;
• · Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed infrastructure;
• · Ability to analyze and interpret logs to identify performance issues;
• · Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly report findings to both technical and non-technical teams;
• · Experience with real-time performance monitoring using tools such as New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics, etc;
• · Knowledge of databases and query optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
