UX Researcher
Position Overview
A leading digital payments company is seeking a UX Researcher to join its P2P (peer-to-peer) consumer product team. This role is ideal for a curious, empathetic, and autonomous researcher who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about uncovering user insights to shape product strategy and design.
The Staff UX Researcher will be responsible for independently planning and executing research initiatives that inform product development and enhance user experience. This includes synthesizing past research, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating closely with design, product, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end UX research projects: define research questions, select methodologies, recruit participants, and conduct studies. Synthesize and present actionable insights to stakeholders across design, product, and marketing teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence product and design strategy. Integrate findings from various data sources (e.g., analytics, market research) into research deliverables. Champion the voice of the customer in design sprints and workshops. Contribute to the evolution of research practices and workflows within the Experience Design organization. Support design critiques and guide designers using research-backed insights. Conduct literature reviews and share synthesized findings with stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 4-5 years of experience, or Masters degree with 34 years in UX research, HCI, psychology, cognitive/social sciences, or related fields. Equivalent portfolio experience also considered. Proven experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research across digital products and platforms. Strong skills in synthesizing research findings and translating them into strategic recommendations.
Proficiency in a range of research methods: usability testing (moderated/unmoderated), interviews, surveys, diary studies, card sorting, tree testing, and concept evaluations. Demonstrated ability to prioritize research initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships. Experience in fintech or large tech companies is a plus.
Bonus: Experience with journey mapping, market research, and simplifying complex workflows.
