Must-have skills
- Manufacturing/quality/process experience (3+ years)
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and tools (APQP/PPAP/FMEA/SPC/MSA) or applicable equivalents
- Problem solving, analysis with attention to detail
- Planning/organizing and ability to follow through
- Training capability (process control, defect detection), teamwork
- Fluent English (oral/written)
- BS+ degree (Materials/Chemical/Mechanical preferred)
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Quality Engineer; IATF16949/VDA6.3 internal auditor experience

Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.Key Responsibilities • Production specification system management - converts customer specification into production specification and assures most current specifications are approved and available for production.• Product inspection processes - maintain, improve and administer the product inspection processes for product visual and dimensional related attributes including inspection procedures, accept and reject criteria• Provide quality support to manufacturing operation and ensure key quality metrics defined are met. Provide training and certification of operators and technicians in process control and defect detection• Actively involved in new production introduction and prepare PPAP documents per customer requirement to support new product lunch or source change. • Non-conforming material handling• Continuous improvement projectsExperiences/Education - Required • BS or above degree. Major in Materials, Chemical , Mechanical or equivalent engineering is preferred • Certified Quality Engineer, IATF16949 or VDA6.3 internal auditor is preferred • 3+ years working experience in manufacturing industry, multi – national companies and Quality/Process working experience preferred • Technical Knowledge & Skill - IATF16949 and its Technical Manuals (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA) or other applicable tools.• Planning & Organizing - Strong planning / organizing skills and follow through.• Good Analysis and problem solving skills – logical thinking, big picture and attention to details• Personality – Maturity, Self-motivation, Criticism and Confidence. • Teamwork• Fluent English both oral and writtenCorning is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and considers requests for reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable laws.
