Role Description The QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst Engineer role is a part-time remote position focused on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and usability of software and digital tools used within the Ministry’s systems and processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and executing test cases, performing manual testing of applications, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying fixes in coordination with development and technical teams. The role involves applying quality assurance standards, maintaining test documentation, and contributing to test plans that support system stability, data integrity, and user experience. The QA Tester will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide analytical insights, and support continuous improvement of platforms used for privatisation and public sector reform initiatives. Qualifications Strong test execution and manual testing skills, including the ability to design, run, and document structured tests. Experience with test cases and quality assurance processes to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. Demonstrated analytical skills for investigating issues, interpreting results, and recommending improvements. Familiarity with defect tracking tools, test management systems, and software development lifecycles. Relevant academic background in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting. Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with public sector systems, enterprise applications, or financial/transaction platforms is an advantage. Awareness of basic security, compliance, and data integrity principles in software testing is beneficial.
