**Top 3 responsibilities: **

  • Define testing scope per release; create detailed test plans and allocate testing effort

  • Plan, execute, and monitor integration/validation tests in simulation (MathWorks) and HIL (RTS)

  • Manage test progress and risks/delays, communicate status to stakeholders, and drive continuous V&V improvement

  • Must-have skills:

    • Engineering degree (e.g., robotics/mechatronics or related)

    • Experience with test leading, test tools, test development, and test methodology

    • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication and team collaboration

    • English fluency mandatory (Swedish preferable)

  • Nice-to-haves:

    • Knowledge of electrical propulsion systems, control theory, and signal processing

    • Participation in system testing or commissioning in labs/on trains

Could you be the full-time Traction Control Engineer - Test Lead in Västerås we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your testing and validation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our propulsion control systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (test environment teams, product development teams, and customer delivery teams), oversee the development and execution of integration and validation tests, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of testing in simulation environments, such as the MathWorks tool suite and the Hardware-in-the-Loop simulator (RTS), but also participate in system testing or commissioning in power labs and on trains.

Identifying the scope of testing required for specific releases Preparing detailed test plans in collaboration with the test team Planning and allocating the required testing efforts Monitoring test progress and making adjustments as needed Managing delays and preparing risk mitigation plans Facilitating team meetings to share updates and address challenges Presenting test status to stakeholders and management Driving continuous improvement of validation and verification activities
