  • Nice-to-haves: Serenity, Cucumber, SoapUI, Selenium experience; stable selector/DOM expertise; AWS experience.

Position Description

CGI leads the modernization of multiple cloud‑based, multi‑agency case management systems using agile DevSecOps teams. We design, build, and enhance solutions deployed in AWS, and our clients trust us to tackle new challenges with modern technologies.

To support continued growth, we’re seeking test automation engineers eager to learn new tools and strengthen our automation frameworks, enabling faster and more reliable deployments. A strong understanding of test‑driven development is essential, as these applications are mission‑critical.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Partner with business analysts and subject matter experts to translate requirements into software solutions Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium Collaborate with analysts and developers to understand story scope and build effective test scenarios Create and maintain tests using SoapUI and related tools Design and execute meaningful performance tests Support teams in building and delivering cloud‑based solutions Participate in design discussions with client technical specialists Coordinate integration testing across multiple teams Engage in daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremonies

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance. 5+ years of IT development experience with an emphasis on DevSecOps 3+ years of automation framework development Expertise in TestCafe and TypeScript Experience with JSON and RESTful APIs Familiarity with Splunk and monitoring tools Experience in Agile environments Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Desired skills

Experience with Serenity, Cucumber, SoapUI, or Selenium Ability to navigate DOMs and build stable selectors Experience with AWS

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $194,000.00.
