Position Overview We are seeking a Senior RAN Validation Engineer to join AST SpaceMobile’s Validation Team. This role is responsible for hands-on validation and troubleshooting of Radio Access Network (RAN) systems in a satellite end-to-end environment. The ideal candidate will analyze and troubleshoot field test results, validate RAN components (terrestrial and non-terrestrial), and ensure network performance and reliability meet design expectations. Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on RAN testing in an end-to-end lab environment. Troubleshoot and interpret field testing results to identify issues and improvement opportunities. Conduct RAN-oriented troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Work closely with system engineers and developers to validate new software releases and features. Contribute to test planning, execution, and reporting for RAN validation activities. Qualifications
Industry tools: XCAL, UE Simulators, Viavi. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods. Ability to work in lab environments for hands-on testing. Occasional travel may be required for field testing and validation activities.
