About Azur

Azur Technology is transforming how MGAs launch and scale insurance products through MGA Connect, our modern, Salesforce-powered platform built by MGA professionals for modern insurers. We sell into two markets today: the London insurance market and US Specialty. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Growth Marketing Specialist to help execute our go-to-market strategy and drive awareness, pipeline, and customer engagement.

About the Role

Azur Technology is looking for a Mid-Level to Senior QA Test Engineer to help deliver high-quality, reliable software across our Salesforce.com platform and wider product suite. This role combines strong, traditional QA discipline with modern, AI-driven testing practices.

You will embed AI assistants — particularly Anthropic’s Claude — into the day-to-day QA workflow, using them to accelerate test design, automation, and defect analysis while raising overall coverage and release confidence. We want someone excited to pioneer reusable, Claude-based testing workflows and help set the standard for how our QA function scales with automation and AI.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–8 years of professional experience in a Quality Assurance role.
  • QA expertise on the Salesforce.com platform.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright and/or Selenium.
  • Experience with API test tools such as Playwright and Postman.
  • Strong experience in regression, system integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing (manual and automation).
  • Proven experience writing clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience in exploratory testing, UAT testing, and user support.
  • Experience creating and managing defects in Jira.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum process, or the ability to adapt quickly to one.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.

AI-Driven Testing & Claude Workflows - CORE REQUIREMENT

This role requires practical, hands-on ability to apply AI to real QA work. You should be comfortable with — or able to quickly ramp on — the following

*** AI-driven test design:** Use Claude to generate, refine, and maintain test cases from requirements, user stories, and source code, and to drive risk-based test planning as the application evolves.

*** Claude in the QA workflow:** Embed Claude across the testing lifecycle — test case generation, exploratory testing, test data creation, defect reproduction and root-cause analysis, and coverage reporting.

*** Claude + Playwright + VS Code:** Use the Playwright MCP server with Claude inside VS Code to explore application flows through natural language, auto-generate Playwright test scripts, and self-heal broken locators as the UI changes.

*** Reusable Claude-based workflows:** Build and maintain reusable Claude Agent Skills (structured, repeatable workflows), subagents, and project-level instructions so AI-assisted testing is consistent, shareable, and version-controlled across the team.

*** Agentic testing loop:** Apply an “explore → generate → run → heal → report” approach — using Claude to map the application, write tests for real user journeys, execute them, repair failures, and report coverage.

*** Responsible AI use:** Review andvalidateall AI-generated tests and code for correctness, security, and maintainability — treating AI as an accelerator, not a replacement for QA judgement.

Good to Have

  • Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Advanced Playwright automation skills.
  • Non-functional / performance testing experience (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience working in the Insurance sector.
  • Prior experience integrating AI tools or MCP servers into a testing or development workflow.

Attributes We Value

  • A strong desire to continuously learn new technologies and apply them for team and project growth.

  • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges.

  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and stay calm under pressure.

  • A creative, can-do attitude with genuine interest in owning products and outcomes.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Design, write, and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing features.

  • Execute manual and automated test scripts across regression, system integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.

  • Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright and/or Selenium, including API tests with Playwright and Postman.

  • Apply AI-driven testing approaches across the QA lifecycle — using Claude to generate test cases, plan risk-based coverage, and analyse defects.

  • Integrate Claude with Playwright in VS Code (via the Playwright MCP server) to explore application flows in natural language and generate and maintain automated test code.

  • Create reusable, Claude-based QA workflows and Agent Skills so repeatable testing tasks are standardised and shared across the team.

  • Perform exploratory, UAT, and non-functional testing (desirable), and support end users during UAT.

  • Create, triage, and manage defects in Jira; capture all test outputs and ensure defects are resolved.

  • Develop the testing schedule and coordinate the execution of testing across the team.

  • Provide status reports on testing progress and flag any deviations from the plan.

  • Participate in daily scrum meetings and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.

  • Take ownership of product quality and support the product team in scoping the critical stability of the project.
