**Stack/tools (technical): **

  • Wood & upholstery repair techniques (burn-ins, scratch repair/rub-out, clear finish)

  • Spray gun for applying finishes

  • Finisher tools/processes for sealers/top coats and polishing per vendor specs

  • Top 3 responsibilities:

    1. Perform wood and upholstery repairs (burn-ins, cross-grain scratches burn-in/rub-out, larger top surface repairs)

    2. Achieve color matching and apply sealants/top coats according to specifications

    3. Polish and finish repaired surfaces to vendor quality standards; complete assigned QA repair work with speed/accuracy

  • Must-have skills:

    • At least 1 year experience in upholstery/wood repair

    • Ability to do burn-ins, clear finish work, top-surface repairs (> 1/2 inch), and finish application

    • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and dependability/attendance

    • Work independently and collaborate as needed; good communication

    • Ability to pass/complete furniture repair skills assessment during interview

    • Physical ability: lift/carry up to 50 lbs; stand/walk ~90% of the day

  • Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience with painting, wood assembly, and/or wood repair

Previous experience with painting, wood assembly, wood repair, and/or similar craftsmanship Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to work under pressure and fast learner Availability to work full time schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays Willingness to be part of a team Furniture repair skills assessment testing may be required as part of the interview process
