Software QA Lead (Hands-On, Automation Focus | AWS Environment) Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end quality assurance efforts while remaining hands-on with test planning, automation, and execution.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure testing is embedded throughout the SDLC, particularly within AWS-based environments.
• Create and manage detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Leverage AWS services (e.g., CloudWatch, S3, Lambda, ECS) to support testing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Analyze test metrics, lead defect triage and root cause analysis, and champion quality across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of professional QA experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior automation role.
• Proven experience with test automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SQL for backend validation and data-driven testing.
• Familiarity with AWS environments and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodeBuild).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Payment’s domain knowledge with familiarity of Pay rails like ACH, FedWire, FedNow and RTP. Knowledge of card systems is a desirable.
• Knowledge of Settlement/reconciliation and ledger systems
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques
