The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Engineer to support Client storage product validation activities, including driver, firmware, BIOS, installer, UI components, and platform integration validation. The role involves end-to-end validation execution, automation support, failure analysis, certification testing, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure product quality and release readiness.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end validation of Client storage products including storage drivers, installers, UI components, BIOS, firmware, and platform integration. Execute functional, interoperability, compatibility, performance, power management, stress, endurance, stability, regression, and reliability testing. Configure and validate complex storage environments using SATA, NVMe, RAID, USB, AHCI, and multiple file systems including NTFS, FAT32, and EXT4. Execute automated validation test suites and monitor CI/CD validation pipelines to ensure continuous product quality. Perform HLK certification testing and validate compliance with Microsoft certification requirements. Analyze test failures, collect debug logs and system information, isolate issues, verify fixes, and perform regression testing. Support BIOS, BKC, IFWI, firmware, and hardware validation activities throughout product development and release cycles. Assist in automation execution, scripting enhancements, and continuous improvement of validation processes. Mentor junior validation engineers/technicians, review test execution quality, and ensure adherence to Client validation methodologies. Prepare validation reports, execution summaries, and technical status updates for project stakeholders.

Desired Skills

• Experience validating storage drivers, firmware, installers, and platform integration.
• Knowledge of BKC, IFWI, BIOS validation processes, and hardware bring-up activities.
• Experience with scripting languages for validation automation and process improvement.
• Familiarity with Microsoft certification processes and HLK tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and reviewing validation activities.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
