Experience: Demonstrated professional linguistic tester experience

Hardware Requirement: Must own a Mac device with an M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer). Note: This is an absolute technical requirement for our secure testing environment. Responsibilities

As an Amharic Linguistic Tester, you will

Perform Linguistic QA: Review and refine AI-generated and localized Amharic content to ensure natural flow and cultural accuracy.

Software & UI Testing: Navigate applications to identify layout issues, truncated text, and functional bugs in the Amharic interface.

Bug Reporting: Document and report linguistic and technical errors clearly in English using our testing guidelines.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following technical, linguistic, and professional criteria

Linguistic Proficiency: Native-level fluency in written and spoken Amharic, paired with professional-level English comprehension and written communication skills.

Hardware Specification (Mandatory): Active access to a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer).

Cultural Competency: A strong, intuitive grasp of modern Ethiopian cultural nuances, localized language trends, and regional idiomatic expressions.

Technical Aptitude: Comfort navigating new software interfaces, adhering to detailed testing guidelines, and reporting technical/linguistic bugs clearly in English.

Work Environment: A reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote, independent contract work.

Attention to Quality: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to consistently identify minor grammatical, formatting, and user-interface (UI) errors.

Professional Experience: Proven professional experience as a linguistic tester (freelance experience preferred).
