    • Lead/own technical implementation: configuration, delivery of implementation artifacts, QA standards, and workshop/training support

    • Client-facing technical consulting: gather/analyze issues, research complex problems, recommend solutions with tradeoffs, guide client teams

    • Environment/upgrade support: perform environment reviews for customer upgrade preparation; resolve complex QAD/ERP technical issues (may manage technical projects)

  • Must-have skills:

    • 5+ years QAD systems implementation (or 8–10 years other ERP implementation)

    • Strong Progress OpenEdge / Progress 4GL hands-on experience

    • Unix proficiency

    • Deep QAD technical knowledge across modules; ability to direct client/team activities

    • Performance/sizing knowledge and DBA fundamentals affecting ERP performance

    • Ability to present options/solutions clearly to clients

  • Nice-to-haves:

    • Experience with technical project management (or leading workshops/training at advanced level)

    • Broad leadership across **additional ERP/pr

About Position

We are looking for a QAD Technical Consultant with hands on experience in QAD, Progress 4GL and Unix.

Role: QAD Technical Consultant

Job Type: Full-Time Employment

Location: All Persistent Location

Experience: 8 to 15 Years

What You'll Do

Determined on a project-by-project basis, duties may include Configuration, training, following QA standards for implementation, environment reviews for customer upgrade preparation, adhering to schedules and budgets; creating deliverables. Work with and direct other resources to resolve issues as necessary. Responsible for resolving complex issues that require in-depth knowledge related to their subject matter expertise. Know at least three applications/technologies/areas well enough to lead the activities in that area and provide directions to client and other team members.

Implementation: Minimum 5 years QAD systems implementation experience or 8-10 years of other ERP systems implementation experience Interact frequently and regularly with clients and is adept at establishing solid working relationships at several levels, including management. Independently resolve issues related to QAD applications and technology. Thoughtfully and carefully research and analyze more complex problems. Determine options and recommended solution and presents to the client in a manner that clearly articulates the issue, options, advantages and disadvantages and why they should proceed down the recommended path. Provide advice to clients in areas that may not be directly related to QAD applications. Respond and answer client questions. If answer is not known, follow up to get information to client in a timely manner.

Expertise You'll Bring

Progress/Open Edge experience essential. Experience in consulting, QAD, implementation, technical team lead, MFG/Pro, Progress, Open edge, technical environment review, Team Lead skills, leading workshops and presenting advanced training to customers, QAD ERP technical knowledge required. Understand the capabilities and functions of almost all QAD modules. May manage technical projects and may function in the technical project management role in addition to other project duties. Knowledgeable in Performance and Sizing hardware and ERP deployments. DBA expertise to understand the concepts that impact performance.
