Position Summary

You own quality for the features you test, combining automated coverage with manual and exploratory testing where automation falls short, not just execution of a test plan handed to you. At the Middle level, you build and maintain automated test suites within an established framework and run manual/exploratory testing on your own features. At the Senior level, you also design the test strategy and automation architecture from scratch, decide what's worth automating versus testing manually, and mentor the QA practice across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Design test strategy and coverage plans for new features, balancing automation, manual, and exploratory testing. Build and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Design and implement API-level testing using Postman or RestAssured, not just UI end-to-end tests. Integrate automated tests as hard gates in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) - a failing suite blocks the merge. Perform manual and exploratory testing for edge cases, UI/UX, and complex business logic automation can miss. Identify, record, and drive bugs to resolution in Jira, including clear repro steps and root-cause context. (Senior) Own the automation framework architecture and set the test strategy other QA engineers build against.

Qualifications

English: fluent with good verbal and written communication - writes bug reports and test plans international teams can act on without a clarification round-trip. 3+ years (Middle) to 5+ years (Senior) of QA experience, comfortable with both test automation and hands-on manual/exploratory testing. Proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation (Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript). Experience with API testing, performance testing (JMeter/k6), and database-level validation. Strong manual and exploratory testing instincts for edge cases and complex business logic that scripts miss. Comfortable reading application code well enough to reason about what could break, not just what did.

AI-assisted testing as daily practice: uses AI to draft test cases and speed up triage - not a substitute for testing judgment. (Senior) Track record of building a test automation framework from zero, and mentoring less-senior QA engineers.
