**Top 3 responsibilities: **

  • Lead/execute supplier quality management: containment support, supplier issues notification, supplier reports, verification of containment, RCA, and CAPA effectiveness

  • Drive supplier qualification and performance improvement: capability assessments, qualification/selection support, APQP implementation, escalations for critical issues

  • Support compliance and project activities: audits support, communication/alignment across regions, lead change management/New Product Development support for critical projects

  • Must-have skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience in manufacturing)

    • Strong oral/written/presentation communication; stakeholder management with internal/external contacts

    • Strong organization/planning/time management; ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Ethical integrity, self-accountability; collaboration/interpersonal skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office

Full Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer leads and supports daily supplier management activities at the Sensata make site. Working with cross functional teams to resolve any supplier related concerns they will also take the lead for New Product Development and change management across the site ensuring support for critical projects. General Responsibilities

  • Support containment activities

  • Communicate with relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectiveness

  • Notify suppliers quality issues, drive supplier report, verify and assure suppliers’ effective containment action, root cause analysis, and corrective actions/preventive actions

  • Provide support during reviews and supplier selection process

  • Assist with audits

  • Communicates with the supplier on their quality performance

  • Assists with providing actions in case a supplier is not meeting the quality expectation and targets

  • Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain

  • Communication and alignment across regions

  • Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

Summary

  • The Supplier Quality Engineer develop, qualify, and manage suppliers in India to support Sensata's sourcing strategy while ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, cost, and risk management requirements.

  • Frequent travel within India (50%-60%)
