- Own end-to-end test management: test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, reporting
- Manage QA delivery for Core Banking projects (implementation/migration/upgrade/enhancements) including SIT, Regression, UAT, Production Validation
- Lead and manage QA teams; coordinate across Business, Development, Infrastructure, Client, and Vendors; drive risk/dependency management
Must-have Skills:
- BFSI + Core Banking domain expertise: CASA, Term Deposits, Retail Lending, and Banking Payment Systems
- Hands-on software testing + strong test planning/execution leadership
- Proven ability in defect triage/resolution, stakeholder reporting, and project delivery coordination
- Leadership: mentoring, resource allocation, milestone delivery management

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Test Manager with 15+ years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Banking, hands-on software testing experience, and proven experience in managing end-to-end testing, project delivery, and QA teams. The candidate must have worked on Finacle, TCS BaNCS, or Finastra and possess strong domain knowledge of Core Banking products and Banking Payment Systems.

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Test Management activities, including Test Strategy, Planning, Execution, Defect Management, and Test Reporting. Manage testing and project delivery for Core Banking implementation, migration, upgrade, and enhancement projects. Lead, mentor, and manage QA teams, allocate resources, monitor team performance, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Coordinate with Business, Development, Infrastructure, Client, and Vendor teams to ensure successful project execution. Review business requirements, prepare test plans, monitor project progress, and proactively manage risks and dependencies. Oversee Functional, System Integration (SIT), Regression, UAT, and Production Validation testing. Drive defect triage meetings and ensure timely defect resolution. Provide regular project status updates, testing metrics, and delivery reports to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills 15+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Management, and Project Delivery within the BFSI domain.

Strong expertise in Core Banking, including

CASA (Current Account & Savings Account)
Term Deposits
Retail Lending
Good understanding of Banking Payment Systems.
Hands-on experience with Finacle, TCS BaNCS, or Finastra.
Proven experience in leading and managing QA teams across multiple projects.
Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Test Planning, Test Execution, Defect Management, and Release Management.
Experience with JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills Experience in Core Banking transformation, migration, or digital modernization projects. Exposure to Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies. PMP, PRINCE2, ISTQB, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications are an added advantage.
