Job Title: Senior Automation Test Engineer

Location: Brisbane / Sydney

Experience: 8+ years

Desired competencies

Must-Have skills

• Technology Stack
• iOS – SwiftUI, XCUITest
• Android – Kotlin, Espresso
• Web Automation – Playwright with TypeScript
• Roles and Responsibilities
• Developed and maintained automation scripts for iOS and Android platforms using XCTest and Espresso-based frameworks.
• Managed the test data tool for test booking creation to support manual testing and automation regression suites.
• Maintained and updated Bitrise workflows to enhance and optimize CI/CD pipelines as per project requirements.
• Added new scenarios to the test data tool to support newly implemented functionalities.
• Performed performance testing activities as required.
• Collaborated closely with developers to analyze issues, monitored CI/CD pipelines, investigated build and test failures, and implemented solutions to improve build stability and reliability.
• Mentored team members on automation best practices, coding standards, and framework usage to enhance team productivity.

Good-to-Have skills

• Exposure to Airline domain
• Exposure to API testing
• Good understanding of mobile applications (iOS, Android)
• Hands on experience in Accessibility Testing (Accessibility testing, WCAG 2.0/2.1, Web testing on Mac Safari, Windows Chrome, IE, Edge, Firefox)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift)
• Ensure frameworks support cross-functional testing requirements and easy maintenance.
• Apply automation design patterns, coding standards, and test architecture principles to ensure maintainable and stable test suites.
• Conduct code reviews and provide recommendations for automation improvements
• Run automated test suites across multiple devices, operating systems, and environments.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and maintain test stability.
• Work closely with Android and iOS developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to understand requirements and define test coverage
• Participate in sprint planning, refinement, and quality assurance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency, reliability, and coverage.
• Defect triage and management
