Job Title: Sr Automation Production Support Tester

Location: Reston, VA (hybrid - onsite monthly)

Type: 6 month contract is possibility of extension

Compensation: $75/HR - $78/HR depending on expeirence

Shifts: Day shift with monthly on-call rotation that can include nights and weekends

Purpose

The Software Quality Assurance Team monitors programs/projects in the organization to ensure the practices, polices, processes and regulations are adhered, review current policies, standards, plans, processes, and procedures and conduct assessments at the program/project level, report finding and track to closure. The team will provide recommendations for standards, procedures, processes and guidelines for implementing program/project Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) activities, from project initiation through delivery. In addition the Software QA Team will report non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement and track to closure and audit processes to determine maturity, reusability, uniformity, and repeatability.

Experience

5 years Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from initiation to completion with focus on process improvements, assessments, audits and quality controls Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with test automation framework architectural design and development. Experience with Object Oriented Design, and extensive use of programing languages ( Java, Type Script, JavaScript, SQL etc.) Strong experience with Selenium, Cucumber and BDD Framework Experience in Webservices test automation using both open source and commercial tools Experience with relational database management systems (e.g. MS SQL Server, DB2, Big Data) Proven proficiency with T-SQL Proven experience to create, maintain and run complex database queries. Experience in multiple environments and/or on multiple operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mainframe) and technologies (.Net, Web technologies, etc.) Production support experience Framework experience for already built framework environments Functional knowledge of Agile, Spiral and Waterfall methodologies Proven experience with the execution and administration of Quality/Process Improvement best practices Experience working with Program/Project Quality Assurance/Process Improvement Plans Experience working with Quality Gates or Quality Checkpoints as part of the SDLC Ability to gather information and resolve issues independently Ability to identify, manage and track progress of small to medium complexity projects to support organizational long range business objectives Experience with quality assurance and process improvement, and methodologies and practices in an IT project development, custom software solutions and maintenance environment Conducting shakeout testing in automation for user facing applications. Running daily shakeouts and support to ensure applications are up and running Preparing new and incoming applications for productions while working with development and testing teams for lightweight developments Must fine tune things to run in SLR (real user) regions. Fine tune and take critical test cases to put into framework Java automation is not required but preferred
