**Role & seniority: ** Technician / entry-level–early career (1–2 years experience) focused on production & test equipment maintenance

**Stack/tools: ** Electrical/mechanical diagnostic and electrical testing tools; blueprint layouts, operating manuals, engineering schematics; welding/testing/repair workflow; Lean Six Sigma (process improvement)

  • Equipment exposure desired: Resistance welders & ultrasonic welders, electrical testing equipment, auto-soldering stations, UV glue dispensing & curing systems

  • Top 3 responsibilities:

    • Respond to equipment downtime: troubleshoot and repair production/test equipment (electrical/mechanical/software)

    • Perform equipment setup & changeovers: setups, calibrations, readiness for continuous lines

    • Conduct technical maintenance & post-repair verification: dismantle/adjust/repair/reassemble; execute checkouts and authorized modifications

  • Must-have skills:

    • Hardware/control systems troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and software domains

    • Ability to read and apply drawings/schematics/blueprints and component layouts

    • Strong safety discipline during “line down” situations; calm, focused execution

    • Clear communication with supervisors/cross-functional teams on status and repairs

    • Experience with battery maintenance or assembly processes

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Downtime Response & Repair: Promptly attend to equipment downtime, performing rapid electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve failures in non-functioning production and test equipment.

Equipment Setup & Changeovers: Execute precise equipment setups, calibrations, and changeover activities to ensure total hardware readiness for continuous production lines.

Technical Maintenance: Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble highly specialized manufacturing machinery according to blueprint layouts, operating manuals, and engineering schematics.

Testing & Modifications: Use technical diagnostic and electrical testing tools to complete post-repair checkouts and perform authorized equipment modifications under the direction of manufacturing and test engineers.

Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in both technical optimization tasks and non-technical structural initiatives, including contributing to Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and maximize line efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education: Minimum of a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably with specific exposure to battery maintenance or assembly processes.

Technical Experience would be added advantage: Direct experience in the setup, calibration, and repair of the following production equipment is highly desired

Technical Troubleshooting: Demonstrated competency diagnosing hardware and control system failures across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

Technical Literacy: Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying engineering drawings, electrical schematics, component layouts, and blueprints.

Operational Discipline & Safety Mastery: Uncompromising commitment to strict safety protocols, maintaining focus and calm efficiency during high-pressure "Line Down" scenarios to support production uptime.

Communication & Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and verbal skills; ability to provide clear, accurate status updates regarding equipment state and repairs to supervisors and cross-functional team members.
