About The Role
This position is for an Integration Engineer supporting a large-scale federal Salesforce Center of Innovation environment. Please note that this role is contingent upon the award of a contract and is not an immediate opening; however, ICF is actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the contract award. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and documenting secure integrations across a complex Salesforce ecosystem that includes over 50 Salesforce applications across multiple organizations. The environment supports numerous application teams across integration, staging, and production environments, requiring a high level of technical expertise and coordination.
The Integration Engineer will support a high-volume Salesforce release and operations environment, managing API connections, supporting production changes, incident response, sandbox coordination, and modernization efforts. The role requires working remotely within US Eastern time zone hours, with strict adherence to security policies, including monitoring employee locations and prohibiting personal VPN connections from foreign IP addresses.
This position involves developing and executing test plans, validating Salesforce applications, workflows, integrations, and reports, and collaborating closely with developers, administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. The engineer will also support data quality, reporting accuracy, and user acceptance testing activities while maintaining comprehensive documentation and continuous improvement efforts. The role demands strong communication skills, technical troubleshooting abilities, and experience supporting enterprise-level Salesforce environments, especially within federal or public sector contexts.
Qualifications
U. S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
- Current Public Trust clearance/suitability or active DoD Secret clearance
- Reside in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Have lived in the U.S. for at least three full years out of the last five
- 4+ years of hands-on systems integration experience supporting enterprise applications
- 2+ years supporting Salesforce integrations, APIs, Connected Apps, service accounts, or Salesforce platform administration/development
- Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, SAML, and API security best practices
- Experience supporting production systems, incident response, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting in mission-critical environments
- Knowledge of Salesforce Government Cloud, Salesforce Shield, and large multi-org Salesforce ecosystems is desirable
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and DataWeave
- Certifications such as MuleSoft Developer or Salesforce integration-focused certifications are preferred
- Proficiency with Salesforce CLI, VS Code Salesforce Extensions, GitLab, GitHub, and DevSecOps pipelines
- Experience managing API inventories, service accounts, connected app governance, and runbooks
- Familiarity with release management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and operational support platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
