Full Description

Your mission will be to test software functionality in Train IT projects from the end-user perspective. This includes analysing customer and project requirements, defining and maintaining test cases, and analysing and reporting software defects. You will also maintain the test infrastructure and support the commissioning of test benches. The role requires strong technical skills and a desire to understand how and why things work.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with development and project teams Analyse functional and non-functional requirements and system use cases Define, create, and maintain test cases in a test management tool Execute tests according to agreed test plans and test cycles Prepare and maintain test environments (software installations, simulations, upgrades) Analyse and report defects using bug tracking tools Provide technical support, especially during the commissioning phase

Requirements

Profound software testing knowledge Experience with testing complex software systems Strong technical understanding Basic knowledge of network technologies and protocols (DHCP, RADIUS, DNS, multicast, SSL/TLS) Basic Linux skills and ability to work with the command line Experience with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Redmine, or similar) Fluent English
