Role- Test Specialist

Skills- GIS Application Testing, API Testing

Analyse business and technical requirements for GIS applications and design comprehensive test strategies and test cases to achieve optimal coverage during Agile sprint cycles. Design, execute, and maintain integration tests across GIS platforms, APIs, databases, and third-party systems. Perform end-to-end validation of GIS workflows, including data ingestion, processing, map rendering, spatial analysis, reporting, and downstream integrations. Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and Postman, with a primary focus on API and service-layer testing. Validate GIS data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and transformation processes throughout the application lifecycle. Test map-based user interfaces, geospatial services, web services, and location-enabled workflows. Execute regression, functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing for GIS application releases. Support GIS Run & Resiliency initiatives by validating application recovery, operational stability, failover capabilities, and post-incident fixes. Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify root causes, troubleshoot defects, and verify resolutions. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, requirement reviews, defect triage, and release readiness assessments. Create and maintain test documentation, test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards. Drive continuous improvement in test automation, test coverage, and quality engineering practices.
