You Are
UST is searching for a Validation Technician who will collect and prepare performance data from routine and specialized test requests for local and remote analysis.
The Opportunity
Contribute to prototype and proof-of-concept hardware build definitions. Perform evaluation and testing of new hardware platforms for product assessment activities. Document product features, capabilities, and technical requirements identified during evaluations. Execute complex test procedures with limited engineering guidance. Locate, interpret, and apply technical documentation supporting internal prototypes, supplier prototypes, and early-reference validation platforms. Remove, modify, integrate, and assemble PC hardware components and systems. Support development and evaluation of usage models for performance computing platforms, including gaming, streaming, content creation, virtual reality, and esports applications. Execute assigned work independently. Customize Windows and Linux operating systems, including driver installation, software deployment, and configuration. Use remote PC access and management tools. Utilize creative and technical software applications

What You Need
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. 4–7 years of experience in a hardware or semiconductor lab environment.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range: $38,000-$57,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
