The Role • This is your opportunity to join our growing Product Quality Team as Senior Software Quality Engineer. • You will be responsible for functional and nonfunctional testing (Performance and Automation testing) of the AspenTech Inmation Data Fabric Products. • You will also gather functional requirements, information and data to proactively drive best practices from a quality perspective into the product while collaboration with our front-end and backend software developers and Product Management. • You will lead the design of robust testing plans and architect scalable testing solutions, while providing technical guidance to junior engineers to ensure best practices are consistently applied across the team. Your Impact Deliver a high-quality product by creating manual and automated tests including test environments, installations, upgrades and configuration in accordance with technical specifications. Develop and perform Unit, Integration, End to End and Performance testing within an iterative agile environment. Design, develop, and maintain automated test pipelines using Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous testing across various environments: on-premises virtual machines and containerized platforms. Drive test automation for API, UI, System and Integration using MS Test framework, C#, Lua, PowerShell and Cypress. Maintain and execute performance, scalability and stress testing. Share knowledge with the team by participating in Code Reviews and Pair Programming. Engage & communicate with internal stakeholders to understand projects and expectations. Be able to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Lead testing efforts for complex features, improve automation coverage, and help define long-term automation strategies that scale with product growth. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software quality across teams. What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related software engineering discipline or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of experience in software development, gained through building products or developing automated test solutions. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with test automation and testing tools. Deep understanding of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with modern software development practices and tooling. Advanced knowledge of at least one modern operating system. Strong programming skills, with the ability to write clean, efficient code and apply it effectively to solve complex testing and automation challenges. Understanding of Cloud deployments is a plus, with strong expertise in deployment infrastructures and virtualization technologies (such as virtual machines, containers, and related tools) being essential. Familiarity with concepts such as networks, databases, servers, communications and information security. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
