Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role is based in Southlake, TX. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will design, implement, and maintain test plans and automated test suites to validate complex financial applications and services. The role includes collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, ensure accurate requirements coverage, and resolve defects efficiently. Daily responsibilities may involve functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing, as well as analyzing test results, documenting issues, and recommending improvements to application quality and reliability. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is expected to champion QA best practices, contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, and mentor less experienced team members. Qualifications Experience in software quality assurance, including test planning, test case design, defect tracking, and root cause analysis. Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting languages for automation. Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Familiarity with API testing, performance testing, and security testing using relevant tools and techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective test strategies. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and present test findings clearly. Experience in the financial services or fintech domain is beneficial, particularly with trading, investing, or client account platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, promote quality-focused practices, and adapt to new tools and technologies.
