Top 3 responsibilities:
-
Analyze and migrate legacy manufacturing/module/PCBA/instrument/calibration test apps to C# while preserving test logic, limits, sequencing, calibration, and pass/fail criteria.

Develop and maintain equipment interfaces for electronic test instruments using SCPI/VISA and related protocols.

Validate equivalence via regression testing and troubleshoot software/communications/DUT/fixture/test-interface issues; document and support deployment/knowledge transfer.

Full Description
Duties
Analyze, convert, validate, and deploy legacy manufacturing, module, PCBA, instrument, and calibration test applications to C# within the Keysight Gondor test platform.
Reverse-engineer existing applications written in
- C++
- VB5/VB6
- LabVIEW
- .NET
- HTML
- Python
- Related technologies
- Preserve existing test functionality, measurement methodology, limits, sequencing, calibration requirements, and pass/fail criteria during migration.
- Develop and maintain interfaces to electronic test equipment using SCPI, VISA, and other applicable hardware interfaces.
- Troubleshoot software, communications, instrumentation, DUT, fixture, and test-interface issues.
- Perform regression testing and compare results against legacy systems to demonstrate functional equivalence.
- Develop reusable C# components.
- Maintain source code and revision control.
- Create Test Instructions and technical documentation.
- Support deployment and knowledge transfer to Keysight Manufacturing/Test Engineering personnel.
- Skills
Strong C# and Microsoft .NET software development skills. Automated electronic hardware test development. Instrument communication and control, including SCPI and VISA. Git/source control experience. Debugging and troubleshooting of software/hardware interfaces. Experience with C++, Visual Basic 5/6, LabVIEW, and/or Python. Ability to reverse-engineer and migrate legacy test applications. Experience with electronic test equipment. DUT/PCBA/module testing experience. Manufacturing test and calibration experience. Technical documentation skills. Experience with Keysight/Agilent/HP test equipment highly desirable. Experience with RF/telecommunications/networking products highly desirable. Knowledge of TCP/IP, GPIB, USB, and serial communications. Experience working in ISO/IEC 17025 environments highly desirable. Experience with Keysight Gondor highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and substantial relevant automated-test/software experience will be considered. Approximately 5+ years of relevant software/test automation experience preferred. Experience developing software that controls and tests physical electronic hardware is particularly preferred.
Pay Transparency
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $48.91/hour - $65.22/hour W-2.
