  • Safely perform rig up / rig down and operate assigned well-service equipment; maintain equipment as directed.

  • Must-have skills:

    • Strong safety compliance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Communication skills to coordinate with crew/supervisors; ability to read/speak/write English.

    • Physical ability for moderate-to-heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs occasionally) and outdoor/variable conditions.

    • Willingness for travel/out-of-town, overnight stays, shift work, and irregular hours.

    • Experience with sand/chemical operations, rigging, pump maintenance, blender operations, or ground foreman tasks (varies by assignment).

The Equipment Operator, under the Site Supervisor's guidance, will adhere to company safety and operational protocols, ensuring services are delivered flawlessly and incident-free, with a focus on environmental and community mindfulness. Through training and practice, they will enhance their skills and may undertake responsibilities such as Rigging up, Pump Maintenance, Sand, Acid, and Chemical Operations, Blender Operations, Ground Foreman tasks, and more, based on district assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Requires rig up, rig down, equipment operation and maintenance of same equipment as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Adheres to all well service health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Adheres to all company operational policies.
  • Safely rigs up high pressure Iron and hoses as required to perform well service.
  • Performs routine maintenance on all assigned service equipment.
  • Drives equipment to and from locations as required.
  • Maintains and submits timely daily driver log reports, equipment/truck reports as well as
  • Individual Vehicle Driver’s Record (IVDRs), and other paperwork as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Other Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Complete and abide by all Safety Training and other provided training.
  • Appropriate communication skills for coordination of the well service activities with crew members and supervisory staff.
  • Travel to job location as required. Could include extensive out of town travel.
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
  • Must work independently and as a member of team.

Mental and Physical Requirements

  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • Employee is required to accomplish hard physical labor in many different conditions including lifting equipment.
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting. Heavy lifting is exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights.

Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc. Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed. Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. Working of irregular hours required. Will involve shift work and overtime. Travel, overnight and multiple stay is a requirement.
