Load Test Engineer – Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a Load Testing Engineer to help design, build, and execute enterprise-scale performance and scalability testing for guest-facing and operational applications. This role will partner closely with architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to ensure systems can reliably handle peak business demand. Key Responsibilities Design and develop load, stress, soak, and scalability test suites for web applications, APIs, and backend services using k6 and Speedscale toolsets. Build realistic performance tests that accurately mirror production and operational traffic patterns. Analyze application, infrastructure, and database performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement using Dynatrace. Create and maintain automated performance testing assets that can be executed repeatedly across environments. Document test results, performance baselines, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in performance and load testing. Experience building load testing suites that simulate realistic operational and customer traffic. Strong understanding of APIs, JSON payloads, and distributed application architectures. Experience using monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace. Hands-on experience with k6 for performance test development and execution. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and isolate performance bottlenecks. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Speedscale, including traffic capture and replay capabilities. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
