Full Description
Overview A Quality Engineer is an experienced-level position in the Development organization. As our in-house Quality Engineer, you will serve as a gatekeeper of product release, providing the quality seal of approval prior to scheduling deployment, ensuring that our technology remains market leading. The position offers candidates with a genuine interest in technology, finance, and software testing, an opportunity to work on projects that deliver the cutting-edge technology developed by PowerPlan. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with programming in Java, .NET or other languages.
- Knowledge of XML and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
Other Skills
- Perform functional, application, regression, and performance tests to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and customer requirements and PowerPlan standards.
- Help enhance existing automation frameworks by adding new functions.
- Identify re-usable component and define automation approach and drive to completion.
- Proactively identify roadblock and create mitigation plans and work with various teams.
- Identify test data, test environment setup and test environment configurations needed to prepare for testing.
- Create automated test cases using existing framework leveraging tools such as Selenium and Ranorex.
- Operate as a member of a scrum, conducting manual and automated testing using Agile, CI/CD development and testing process.

- Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Accounting, technical certification and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Preferred
- Experience implementing test scripts within a Continuous Integration and/or Delivery pipeline within Test, Staging and Production environments (i.e. BitBucket, Bamboo, Nexus, Octopus).
- Experience with test management tools (i.e. qTest, Jira).
- Experience with API/Web Service testing tools (i.e. SoapUI, Postman).
- Experience with key enterprise applications, including ERP, EAM, CRM and Maximo.
- Understanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, database design, SQL queries, and network protocols.
