Full Description

Born autonomous. Born electric.

Since 2016, our technology has connected global communities with the things they need – and all without the emissions. We’re made up of experts in multiple fields and that’s how we’ve developed a new way to move goods. This is technology purpose-built for the industry. This is safer, cleaner, and more reliable movement.

We are Einride and this is how we build a better future.

Want to be part of transforming road freight? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, autonomous and electric technologies. We build the technology that hauls freight efficiently, and we put it to work for the world's leading manufacturers, retailers, logistics providers and defense organizations, all working toward a future where moving goods cost less for our customers, and less for the planet.

Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a U.S. public road. In June 2026, Einride became a publicly listed company on Nasdaq, a milestone that reflects a decade of turning what once looked like science fiction into everyday reality. Today, our technology moves freight across North America, Europe, and the Middle East for some of the world's biggest shippers.

The Tech Operations team deploys and maintains Einride’s autonomous electric trucks at customer sites, bringing our technology from theory to reality. You’ll join an ambitious, collaborative team focused on reshaping the future of freight.

Your mission when joining as a Test Engineer is to ensure our autonomous electric trucks operate safely and reliably across closed test tracks and real-world environments. As the critical link between software development and field validation, your work directly impacts product safety and release quality as you combine hands-on vehicle testing, diagnostics, and data analysis. Thriving in this role takes a safety-focused mindset, flexibility, meticulous attention to detail, and clear communication.

You will

Design, plan & execute test cases for autonomous drive software and hardware in the complete vehicle systems at closed tracks and real-world conditions. Perform hands-on field and vehicle testing, compiling results, reports, address issues & topics for improvement towards the engineering teams. Be part of ensuring that our autonomous electric truck solution gets successfully installed and delivers on their promise of efficiency, safety, and reliability in the dynamic, unpredictable environments of public roads and customer sites. Perform data collections & analysis from customer sites and other real world environments.

We expect you to

Hold at least a High School diploma. Have a Truck driving license (C-license). Be experienced in vehicle diagnostics, fault tracing, software integration and field testing of complete vehicle systems. Bring prior experience in verification & validation or testing within automotive systems. Experience from working with Autonomous Drive Systems (ADS) platforms or ADAS. Demonstrate written and verbal fluency in English.

This is a full-time position based in Gothenburg at the Einride office, with at least 50% of the time spent on the test track AstaZero as well as occasional customer and other stakeholder visits. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually.

Please note that as part of our standard recruitment process, we conduct a background control on the final candidate for this role. This may include verification of education, employment history, any relevant professional certifications or other information that may be of our interest.
