Project Overview
- Microsoft Fabric is a unified data analytics platform that integrates data engineering, data warehousing, real-time analytics, business intelligence, and AI capabilities. Kusto Web Explorer (KWE) is a web-based data exploration and query experience that enables users to analyze and visualize large-scale datasets efficiently.
As a member of the Kusto testing team, this role focuses on quality assurance for Microsoft Fabric and KWE, covering key areas such as data querying, dashboards, data visualization, Copilot AI experiences, and web applications. Responsibilities include functional testing, automation testing, API validation, and end-to-end business workflow verification to ensure a high-quality user experience
Job Responsibilities
- Perform functional, UI, compatibility, regression, and end-to-end testing for data analytics platforms, web applications, and data visualization products.
- Design test strategies, create test cases, execute tests, and validate product quality.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Identify, track, verify, and drive resolution of software defects to ensure high-quality product delivery.
- Participate in testing AI-related features and user experiences, while exploring the application of AI technologies in software testing and quality engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 1–3 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive attitude, ownership mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Be familiar with at least one programming language, such as Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, etc. Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright or Selenium is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing automated testing frameworks is a plus.
- Solid understanding of software testing processes, test design methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
- Good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate effectively in a professional environment. VSTEP B1/B2, TOEIC 550+, IELTS 5.5+, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
- Experience using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Cursor to improve testing, development, or productivity is a plus.
