Role Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate QA/Test Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in software quality assurance and testing, working alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects. You will gain hands-on experience across the full software testing lifecycle while developing your technical and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities Assist in designing, developing, and executing test cases and test scripts based on requirements and user stories Perform manual and, where applicable, automated testing across web and/or mobile applications Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps) Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria Support regression, functional, and integration testing activities Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum environment Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and documentation Learn and apply testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies under guidance from senior team members Essential Requirements A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Eagerness to learn and develop within a QA/testing career path. Desirable Skills Exposure to test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Understanding of API testing (e.g. Postman) Any relevant testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Level) is a plus, though not essential
