Full Description

The Software QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by working closely with the product and development teams. The role involves testing web‑based, multi‑tenant solutions, covering both front‑end applications built with ReactJS and back‑end services including both Rest APIs and background daemons developed in Java. In addition to designing and executing automated and manual tests, the role contributes to the ongoing evolution of quality practices as new tools and ways of working are adopted.

Responsibilities Design the test scenarios with complete understanding of the end-to-end solution and customer use cases, for functional, integration, and regression testing. Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure comprehensive coverage. Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure that testing is embedded throughout the software development process. Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites covering functional, integration, and regression scenarios.

Work with test automation tools such as: Playwright, Selenium, Robot Framework or others, using BDD approaches. Assist in the setup and management of testing environments and CI pipelines. Design and conduct performance, scalability, and stress testing using both industry standard tools (JMeter, k6, etc.) and internally developed testing tools. Ensure thorough test coverage by working closely with product management and the development team. Ensure test documentation is accurate and up to date. Research modern and AI‑assisted development and testing practices to propose incremental improvements. Any other tasks assigned by the management from time-to-time and as required.

Requirements 3 to 4 years’ experience in QA automation or SDET roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and independently. Strong communications skills in English. Understanding of software development lifecycles and modern delivery practices. Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Python, (Java is a plus) with hands‑on experience. Experience testing backend services and APIs (REST, JSON, authentication flows). Ability to debug test failures using logs, data, and code. Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar tools to assist with writing, refactoring, and reviewing test automation code. Hands‑on experience or practical exploration of AI‑assisted and agent‑style testing concepts (such as self‑healing tests, intelligent test selection, or automated scenario discovery), using tools or platforms such as Applitools, Testim, Postman AI, Playwright with AI‑assisted workflows, or LLM‑based approaches (e.g. via Copilot or OpenAI‑based tooling), with the ability to evaluate their pragmatic application as practices evolve. Confident working in Linux/Unix environments. Working knowledge of containerised environments using Docker and/or Kubernetes, including familiarity with the surrounding ecosystem for monitoring (e.g. Grafana, Zabbix), logging (e.g. Loki), and deployment workflows (e.g. ArgoCD). Understanding of SQL and database fundamentals.
