About the Position
- We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to develop LabVIEW, TestStand, and Python-based automated test solutions. - This position will work with engineering and manufacturing teams to design, build, and maintain automated test systems for production, validation, and engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong software development skills, hands-on experience with test instrumentation, and a proven ability to deliver reliable automated test solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test applications using LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Develop drivers and interfaces for instrumentation (NI PXI, cDAQ, GPIB, Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, Serial, etc.).
- Create automated production, validation, and engineering test sequences.
- Design reusable software architectures and test frameworks.
- Integrate measurement equipment, DAQs, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and environmental chambers.
- Develop automated data collection, reporting, and traceability systems.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing automated test stations.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing engineers to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Support calibration and maintenance of automated test equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Working knowledge of Python and experience with automated instrumentation.
- Experience with NI PXI/cDAQ and measurement systems.
- Familiarity with SQL/databases and Git.
- Hardware debugging skills and understanding of production test environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience developing drivers for GPIB, Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, and serial interfaces.
- Experience building reusable test frameworks and automated reporting systems.
- Knowledge of power electronics test applications.
