Test Engineer
Job Purpose
The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. The successful candidate will collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and ensure that our products meet the highest standards before release.
Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities
Develop, program, maintain and improve test solutions Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications Analyze test processes to ensure process capabilities and throughput Conduct functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality Provide analytical and well documented reports to the rest of the team. Strong participation in cross functional teams supporting manufacturing and developing new test processes for new production introductions. Assist with day-to-day operational aspects of product functional and system test support Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality
Education And Experience
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance with solid engineering experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in testing tools and bug tracking systems Strong understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
