Full Description
We are seeking an Embedded QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of embedded hardware and software products. The role involves developing test, executing mainly manual automated tests, investigating failures, and collaborating with firmware, hardware, and systems teams throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities Design and execute test plans for embedded systems, firmware, drivers, and hardware interfaces. Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, stress, and reliability testing. Validate communication protocols such as GSM, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi. Test firmware upgrades, bootloaders, recovery mechanisms, and fault-handling behavior. Analyze logs, traces, RF signals, and hardware measurements to identify root causes. Reproduce, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution. Achieve quality metrics for product release decisions. · B.Sc degree in Electrical/Software Engineering 1+ years of experience testing embedded systems or firmware. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical documentation skills (Experience in executing test cases based on specification documents and writing Test Documentation (STD, STP)) A systemic vision and the capability to go into detail Good logical Thinking Ability to work independently and as part of team Good written and oral communication skills in English Strong understanding of embedded software, hardware-software integration, and real-time systems. Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, multimeters, and serial consoles – is advantage. Ability to read technical specifications, schematics, logs, and protocol traces.
Additional requirements (at least two of the following)
- · Experience in testing mixed environments (Hardware and Software)
- · Knowledge with Communication protocols (GPRS, TCP/IP, etc)
- · Experience in specifying and documenting bugs
