This position is responsible for supplier quality related activities within the region including identifying BUs critical product characteristics, conducting supplier assessment audits, verifying suppliers control plans, managing FA development process, conducting FA sample inspection, participating in the supplier production readiness review, conducting first batch audits and ensuring Crane required quality performance as required for ongoing production.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with BUs and suppliers identifying and addressing critical product characteristics before projects execution. Lead QA005 assessment audit identifying and supporting to the supplier to solve the critical or major processes non conformances as well as provide the recommendations to the regional sourcing manager and BUs. Work with suppliers to ensure effective FA development process management including process flow chart, PFMEA, critical process characteristics, control plan implementation in timely manner. Validate suppliers FA including verifying tooling (as applicable), identifying and solving specifications deviations, documentation and following BUs FA results. Ensure mass production ramp up by leading supplier production readiness review, pilot runs and first batch inspections including track, solve and provide recommendations to the project leader about the findings. For ongoing production ensure acceptable quality performance by monitoring recording, managing and assess suppliers quality and delivery as required. Provide recommendations to the sourcing manager by identifying and implementing a quality performance program for strategic suppliers including a periodical process audit plan, supplier score card improvement program, etc. Mentoring and coaching supplier about the quality improvement tools and approaches of solving complex or chronic quality problems, training in new quality approaches, tools and methodology as well as support strategic suppliers in then use of the latest techniques.
