Perform V&V for safety-critical systems/subsystems
Analyze requirements, define verification criteria, and ensure requirements traceability
Prepare and execute verification/test activities; analyze results and support defect resolution

**Must-have skills: **

2+ years in Verification, Validation, or System Testing
Experience in safety-critical environment (rail preferred)
Knowledge of verification processes, system integration, and requirements management
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
Ability to collaborate across system/software/testing/safety engineering teams
Fluent English

**Nice-to-haves: **

Railway signalling experience with CBTC, ETCS, ERTMS, Interlocking
DOORS or similar requirements management/traceability tools

AYES is an international engineering and technology consulting company supporting clients in the development of highly innovative and complex engineering projects. To strengthen our team in Switzerland, we are looking for a Verification & Validation Engineer with experience in safety-critical environments and a strong interest in railway signalling and CBTC systems.

Your Responsibilities Perform Verification & Validation activities on safety-critical systems and subsystems; Analyse system and functional requirements and define appropriate verification criteria; Prepare and execute verification procedures, test specifications and test cases; Analyse test results, identify deviations and support defect resolution; Ensure requirements traceability throughout the verification process; Support system integration, functional testing and validation activities; Prepare verification documentation, reports and technical evidence; Collaborate with system, software, testing and safety engineering teams

Your Profile Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field; At least 2 years of professional experience in Verification, Validation or System Testing; Experience in a safety-critical industry, preferably Railway, but Automotive or Aerospace backgrounds are also considered; Knowledge of requirements management, system integration and verification processes; Previous experience with railway signalling systems such as CBTC, ETCS, ERTMS or Interlocking is considered a plus; Familiarity with requirements management and traceability tools such as DOORS is an advantage; Fluent English is required; Analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
