About the Role We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a team responsible for ensuring the quality of a complex platform built around microservices, distributed systems and event-driven communication.

This is a highly technical QA role focused on test automation, API and integration testing, backend systems and end-to-end flows. You will work closely with developers, DevOps and product teams to identify potential issues, investigate root causes and ensure that different services and systems work together reliably.

Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites. Perform API, integration and end-to-end testing without relying only on the UI. Test applications based on microservices and distributed architectures. Test event-driven and asynchronous workflows, including Kafka or similar messaging technologies. Validate REST APIs, events, webhooks and other forms of system-to-system communication. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to validate data and system behaviour. Investigate defects and production issues, perform root cause analysis and work with developers to resolve them. Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Contribute to test strategy, test design and technical documentation. Collaborate with Developers, DevOps, Product Owners and other stakeholders to promote quality throughout the development lifecycle. Continuously improve automation, testing processes and quality practices.

Requirements Several years of experience in QA / Software Testing, with strong hands-on test automation experience. Proven experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks. Strong experience with API, integration and end-to-end testing. Practical experience testing microservices and distributed systems. Experience testing event-driven and asynchronous communication, preferably with Kafka or similar technologies. Good knowledge of SQL and databases, with experience validating data as part of testing. Programming/scripting experience, preferably C#/.NET. Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and production issue investigation. Experience working in an Agile environment such as Scrum or Kanban. Ability to work effectively with development, DevOps and product teams.
