Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise web, mobile, API, and distributed applications. The candidate should combine strong manual testing fundamentals with test automation, API testing, database validation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and system designs. Define comprehensive test strategies and test plans. Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data. Perform functional, regression, integration, API, UI, mobile, database, and exploratory testing. Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks. Automate web application testing using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies. Automate API testing using RestAssured, Postman/Newman, Karate, or similar tools. Perform mobile automation using Appium or similar technologies. Validate REST APIs, event-driven services, and microservices. Test Kafka-based asynchronous workflows and distributed systems. Validate database transactions and data integrity. Perform performance and load testing using JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar tools. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Perform root-cause analysis with developers for reported defects. Verify production fixes and support release validation. Define regression test suites for critical business functionality. Track quality metrics and provide release-readiness assessments. Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices. Use AI tools to assist with test-case generation, edge-case discovery, automation scripting, requirements analysis, and defect investigation. Review AI-generated tests to ensure adequate business and technical coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of software quality assurance experience. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies. Strong API testing experience. Experience testing microservices and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework. Experience with SQL and database validation. Experience with Postman and API automation. Understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, authentication, and web technologies. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar issue-tracking systems. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines. Good understanding of Git.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience testing Java/Spring Boot and Angular applications. Experience with Flutter mobile applications. Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems. Experience with IoT or GPS tracking platforms. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments. Experience with performance testing. Experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP. ISTQB certification is a plus. Experience with AI-assisted software testing and QA automation.
