About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable products by thoroughly testing and verifying our Web, API, and database platforms. Your responsibilities will include creating comprehensive test plans, writing and executing test scripts, analyzing testing results, tracking defects, and reporting outcomes effectively. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in testing web-based and API systems, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality continuously. We value individuals who are results-driven, collaborative, and willing to go the extra mile to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, specifically web-based and API systems Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience Hands-on experience designing and executing functional, GUI, and API test cases Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing strategies, and best practices Experience with testing tools such as Chrome DevTools, Postman, and TestRail Familiarity with SDLC, particularly Agile/SCRUM methodologies Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams Ability to create detailed test plans and test cases covering positive and negative scenarios Experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues in collaboration with engineering teams Responsiveness to bug reports and hotfixes, with a focus on quality and efficiency
Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans including functional, integration, API, and user acceptance testing Create detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements, ensuring coverage of all scenarios Perform exploratory testing and targeted manual testing to identify issues and improve product quality Participate in sprint planning, requirements reviews, and collaborative discussions with product and development teams Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using JIRA, ensuring clear communication and resolution Assist in troubleshooting application and system issues, providing technical guidance to team members Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve testing processes Support troubleshooting efforts for production issues alongside Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Development teams Continuously improve testing strategies and methodologies to align with industry best practices
