  • Must-have skills

    • Strong quantitative foundation (e.g., financial engineering/physics or equivalent advanced degree)

    • Financial products & markets knowledge; intermediate risk management understanding

    • Ability to apply agentic/generative AI coding tools in model validation

    • Clear stakeholder communication and effective collaboration with model owners and the Tokyo Validation team

The Model Risk role spans quantitative model validation, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous expansion of the model risk management framework. Quantitative analysis pricing, risk measurement, AI & more Communication & collaboration with internal & external stakeholders Model validation documentation and reporting to stakeholders & approvers. Contribution to scope expansion of model risk management and model governance. Support for new product reviews and regulatory / audit responses Automation of routine model risk management tasks.

Requirement Model Risk Management Background Candidates must bring strong quantitative foundations, financial industry knowledge, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Required expereince- Total work experience up to 8 years with at least 3 to 5 years in Model Validation in the financial industry Graduate from a top-tier university in financial engineering, physics, or equivalent / higher qualification Knowledge of financial products and financial markets Intermediate knowledge of risk management in the financial industry Practical knowledge of agentic coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot, and experience applying them to model validation Willingness and ability to acquire new knowledge and skills and apply them effectively in the role

Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial markets as a trader, structurer, or quantitative analyst Research experience in a master's or doctoral program in a scientific field

Computer Skills

Required Qualifications: Proficiency across programming, documentation, and AI tools is essential for executing model risk management tasks efficiently.

Python, SQL, C++ or Equivalent: Proficient in at least one core programming language

LaTeX / Word Documentation and presentation Materials using PowerPoint: Able to create documents preferably using LaTeX

Generative AI in Quant finance: Skilled in utilizing generative AI tools effectively in Quant Finance

Preferred Qualifications

Machine Learning: Sufficient understanding and practical utilization skill

Communication & Collaboration Clear communication with model owners and effective teamwork within the Tokyo Validation team are essential for this role.
