• We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team in India. Looking for a Quality Engineer with strong experience in Appian BPM Testing, Selenium Automation, and Banking Operations. You should have a strong background in both commercial and open-source testing automation tools, along with experience in integrating automation frameworks to CI/CD and test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand Business flows of automation.
• Validate Appian workflows, configurations, business rules, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain Selenium automation suites.
• Validate customer communications, PDFs, and SmartComms templates.
• Develop automation scripts based on the guidelines & templates - design, create, enhance, stabilise, batch execute.
• Build reusable business components for easy maintenance.
• Build necessary automation script adaptations to support different test environments.
• Implement data creation and mining solutions as per the automated test case requirements.
• Implement a recovery mechanism for seamless execution.
• Maintain automation scripts & debug them.
• Execute, monitor, and report on the automation suite as per the release cycles.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and release testing.
• Report on development, execution, and defects.
• Provide an excellent understanding of test automation methodologies and processes.
• Provide hands on experience in web services, API, micro services and API architectures.
• Implement open-source automation frameworks - Karate, Cucumber reporting. (On premises & cloud.)
• Support SIT, UAT, defect management, and Agile delivery.
• Integrate automation scripts to CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing.

Mandatory Skills Description

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• Have at least 4-8 years of automation experience in Selenium frameworks and API testing tools like REST Assured and Postman
• Strong experience in Appian Process Model & Workflow Testing, Appian SAIL UI Testing, Selenium WebDriver with Java, Cucumber BDD, TestNG/JUnit
• Functional, Regression, SIT & UAT Testing, SmartComms / Email Template Validation
• Strong experience in Appian BPM Testing, Selenium Automation, and Banking Operations. Strong knowledge of both commercial and open-source testing automation tools, such as Selenium, Appium, Karate, Python-Requests, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI) and integrating test automation suites into the CI/CD pipeline
• Experience in testing RESTful APIs and Database Testing (SQL)
• Experience in Banking Domain includes Payments & Settlements, Payment Investigations, Trace Outward, Fulfilment Operations, Maker-Checker Workflows, SLA & Queue Management
• In-depth testing and automation experience in a structured environment
• Experience in system, system integration, regression, end-to-end, & parallel testing, test environment and test data setup
• Worked as part of medium- to large-sized project teams
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to multitask and be comfortable with frequently changing priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues
• Proactive mindset, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Nice-to-Have Skills Description

• Experience in Banking/Financial Services and Appian-based workflow applications.
