We are looking for an Automation / Production Engineer with a strong hands-on background in industrial equipment, maintenance and production automation to help one of our clients from the automotive industry. The role combines production support, maintenance, troubleshooting and automation, with PLCs used as an important technical tool for diagnosing and solving problems on automated production lines.
You will work closely with production and technical teams to ensure the availability and proper functioning of industrial equipment and production lines.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance and technical support for automated production lines installed at customer sites.
- Diagnose and repair technical problems affecting production equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic and automation-related issues.
- Support production teams in identifying and resolving equipment failures.
- Use PLC systems as a troubleshooting and diagnostic tool, including making adjustments or modifications when required.
- Work with motors, electrical axes, sensors and automation components.
- Support the commissioning, optimization and improvement of production equipment.
- Document technical issues, solutions and interventions and report relevant information to development teams based in Europe.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and other technical teams.
Requirements
- Technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation or a related field is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, production engineering, automation or a similar technical role.
- Good understanding of industrial automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLC systems
- Knowledge of Beckhoff Controllers / TwinCAT is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
