🚀 We’re hiring: Senior Automation Test Engineer / Quality Engineer 📍 Kraków (hybrid – 6 days/month in the office) 🤝 B2B contract

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer / Quality Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. You'll combine test automation, manual testing, and quality engineering while collaborating with development, product, and other cross-functional teams to improve testing practices, processes, and overall product quality.

💡 About the role You’ll be responsible for designing and executing automated and manual tests across front-end, back-end, API, and database layers. Working closely with development and cross-functional teams, you'll define test strategies, improve automation frameworks, drive quality initiatives, and help establish best practices that enable teams to deliver reliable software efficiently.

🔧 Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for back-end and front-end systems

• Perform manual testing to validate critical functionalities and ensure comprehensive test coverage

• Create and maintain test plans and test strategies aligned with project requirements

• Drive quality improvements by defining quality metrics, optimizing workflows, and implementing testing best practices

• Mentor and upskill testing team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

• Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner

• Perform back-end and API testing using tools such as REST Assured

• Optimize existing automation frameworks and evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies

• Collaborate with development, product, and other cross-functional teams to refine test strategies and ensure seamless communication

• Support and improve CI/CD testing practices to enable reliable and efficient software delivery

🧠 Required skills & experience

• Proven commercial experience as a Senior Automation Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or Quality Engineer

• Strong programming skills in Java

• Hands-on experience with automated and manual testing

• Strong knowledge of web, API, and database testing

• Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test strategies, and test documentation

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins

• Practical experience with Git and version control workflows

• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and modern testing practices

• Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams
