Posted Nov 18, 2025Apply by Dec 18, 2025

Role & seniority: Engineering role (likely mid-level) focused on PV&V for electric motor systems; 24-month contract, onsite.

Stack/tools: CREO (preferred for fixtures), Windchill (drawings/parts/assemblies), data acquisition gear (accelerometers, thermistors, current transducers, VNAs); PV&V management in VISION system.

Top 3 responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute test plans from inception to completion; review onsite lab setups and data with technicians.

  2. Document activities in VISION; provide hands-on training for PV&V tools; maintain production/test documentation and close out activities.

  3. Perform simple instrumentation/testing and motor teardown analysis; support program management tasks (planning, checklists, tests tracking).

Must-have skills

  • 2+ years with rotating components, electric machines, motor testing, and/or inverter/electrification testing.

  • Experience with data acquisition equipment and instrumentation; strong written/verbal communication.

  • Proficiency with Windchill and Creo or willingness to learn CREO; ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • EMC/EMI knowledge; prior CAD experience beyond CREO/Windchill scope.

  • Location & work type: Onsite, 24-month contract; travel to labs (driving/flying) up to ~25%. Metatarsal shoes required onsite.

Full Description

HM NOTES Emachine Module Team Overview

Sourcing & Design Collaboration

Client does not manufacture their own electronic motors, instead sourcing them from a global supply base . Motors are not purchased off-the-shelf; Client selects the right motor for the application and collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to adjust design features—such as electronic connectors, winders, rotor, and stators.

Example: Replacing pump with electric motor in certain applications.

Product Development & Testing

  • Active involvement in virtual simulation, analysis, and product verification/validation testing.
  • Adherence to Client's internal regulations and standards for testing.
  • Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) Team works closely with the design group and suppliers in all testing phases.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans from inception to completion.

Onsite lab review: Visit labs to review test setups and data with lab technicians; ensure proper instrumentation is in place or recommend additional equipment.

Documentation: All activities documented in Client's VISION system (PV&V management tool); hands-on training provided for VISION usage.

Simple instrumentation/testing: May perform basic testing; involved in motor teardown after failure to analyze causes.

Focus on program management activities: planning, checklists, production documentation, tracking test plans, documenting results in VISION, and closing activities.

Technical Skills & Tools

CREO experience is ideal: May need to develop test fixtures, conduct non-standard spec tests.

Windchill usage: Create/review drawings, manage parts and assemblies, understand mechanical details. Prior CAD experience is sufficient, but willingness to learn CREO and Windchill required. EMC/EMI knowledge is a plus.

What Skills Are Needed

  • 2 years experience working with rotating components, electric machine design, test, or implementation. 2 years testing electronic motors. Electric Motor experience, Inverter experience, and general electrification testing experience.

  • Knowledge of data acquisition equipment and instrumentation such as accelerometers, thermistors, current transducers and vector network analyzers.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25%. Driving to Labs in other locations. Will be a mix of driving and flying.

  • Experience working in Windchill and Creo
