Salary: AUD 127,971-141,157 Annual Gross.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable automation frameworks for Web and API applications using Playwright. Create and execute robust automated test suites covering functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing scenarios. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements, contribute to solution design discussions, and define testability and acceptance criteria. Develop API automation solutions and validate service interactions to ensure system reliability and quality. Implement service virtualization, stubs, and mocks using tools such as Mountebank or any other tools to support testing in complex environments. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote continuous testing practices across delivery teams. Analyze test outcomes, identify defects, risks, and quality concerns, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Drive quality engineering best practices and advocate a shift-left testing approach to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in code reviews, automation framework enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adequate, risk-based, and fit-for-purpose test coverage for all deliverables.

Required Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in modern test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices. Proven experience in developing and maintaining Web and API automation frameworks using Playwright. Solid understanding of API architecture, REST services, and API testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with service virtualization, mocking, and test environment. Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and automation integration within DevOps pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions. Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional teams with working knowledge of Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence and test management tools like Xray. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to quality assurance. Ability to identify risks early, communicate effectively, and proactively drive quality outcomes. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
